Who we are

This website, ajirabuilders.com, is run by Ajira Builders Pvt. Ltd. ("Ajira Builders", "we", "us"), a construction and design company based in Kathmandu, Nepal. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the website or contact us, and what we do with it.

What we collect

Information you give us, through our contact form, quote and call-back forms, the design cost estimator, WhatsApp, phone or email:

• Your name, phone number and, if you give it, email address.
• Your project details: the location or municipality of your land, plot size, number of stories, building type, budget, the services you are interested in, and anything you write in a message.
• Estimates you generate with our cost estimator, together with the name and phone number you enter to receive them.

Information collected automatically when you browse: the pages you visit, the site that referred you, any campaign tags in the link you followed, which contact buttons you click, your browser and device type, and the date and time. Our advertising and analytics partners (see "Cookies and tracking") also collect identifiers through cookies.

We do not ask for payment card details, bank details or identity documents through this website. Documents needed for a construction contract or a building permit are collected separately when you become a client.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry, call you back, and prepare estimates, quotes and proposals.
• To plan, design, build and manage your project if you become a client, including permit applications to your municipality.
• To contact you with marketing calls and messages about our services, as explained in the next section.
• To measure and improve our website and our advertising, for example to see which pages and ads lead to enquiries.
• To keep records we are required to keep by law, and to protect our legal rights.

Marketing calls and messages

When you submit your name and phone number (or email address) through any form on this website, or send them to us on WhatsApp, you agree that Ajira Builders and our team may contact you by phone call, SMS, WhatsApp, Viber or email. We may contact you about your enquiry and follow up on it, and we may also tell you about our services, construction and design packages, prices, offers, new projects and events. This can happen after your original enquiry has been answered.

Only give us a phone number or email address that is yours, or that you have permission to share.

You can stop marketing contact at any time: tell the person who calls you, reply STOP to a message, or email us. We will stop marketing contact within 7 days. We may still contact you about an enquiry or project that is ongoing, or where the law requires it. Your phone operator's normal charges apply to calls and messages you make or receive.

Cookies and tracking

The website uses these tools, which may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser:

• Google Analytics, to count visits and see how the site is used.
• The Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Meta Conversions API, to measure and improve our ads on Facebook and Instagram and show our ads to people who visited the site. When you send one of our enquiry forms or the cost estimator, your phone number is converted into a scrambled, one-way code (a SHA-256 hash) before it is sent to Meta for this purpose; Meta does not receive the number itself from us.
• Our own visit counter, which records the pages you view, the site that referred you (for example Google, ChatGPT or Facebook), campaign tags in the link you followed, your device type (mobile, tablet or desktop) and which contact buttons you click (WhatsApp, phone, email or quote). It stores no personal data and sets no cookies: it keeps neither your IP address nor your browser details, and it links the pages of one visit with a random code held in your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab.
• Your browser's session storage, to remember for one visit that you have already closed a pop-up.
• A cookie with a random code, set only if you vote for a design option on a project page, so each device can vote once. It holds no personal data and lasts two years.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad personalisation in your Google and Facebook account settings. The site still works without them.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information or share our list of enquiries with other businesses. We share it only as follows:

• Our staff, engineers and architects.
• Once you become a client: the consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and other firms we engage for parts of your project (for example surveying, design, specialist works or materials), when they need your contact details to do that work.
• Service providers who run parts of our business for us, such as website hosting, Google, Meta and messaging services. They may use it only to provide their service to us, apart from what Google and Meta do under their own privacy policies with the data described in "Cookies and tracking".
• Government bodies such as your municipality, when needed for building permits, and any authority or court when the law requires it.
• Our lawyers, accountants and auditors, where needed.
• A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or merged, under the same protections as this policy.

Clients and visitors outside Nepal

Many of our clients live abroad. Your information is used by our team in Nepal, and some of our service providers (including Google and Meta) store and process data in other countries. By using the website or contacting us from abroad, you understand that your information will be handled in Nepal and in those countries.

How long we keep it

• Contact details, enquiries, call-back requests and estimates: kept with no fixed end date, because many people take several years to go from a first enquiry to starting construction and we want to be able to follow up. You can ask us to delete them at any time, and we will.
• Client and project records: for as long as the contract, any warranty or defect period, and our legal and tax obligations require.
• Website visit records (pages viewed and buttons clicked): 18 months, then deleted automatically.

Security

Access to enquiries and client records is limited to our team, and the website runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). No website or computer system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information sent over the internet.

Your rights and choices

In line with Nepal's Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018), you can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
• Correct information that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete your information, unless we need to keep it for an ongoing project or a legal obligation.
• Stop marketing calls and messages.

Children

The website is meant for adults planning construction work. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Other websites

Links to other websites and apps (such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Google Maps) are covered by those companies' own privacy policies, not this one.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we will show a notice on the website.
